The Story of Erica’s Street Gang

The Story of Erica’s Street Gang

Shortly after moving into my current home in 2013, I discovered a little family of stray cats living down the road. So I started feeding them in the car park of a recently abandoned warehouse a few doors down. Once I got them into a feeding routine, I started the

Kitten Season

Kitten Season

Every year the stray cat population in Sydney expands a lot and this year has confirmed that yet again. We currently have 60 cats and kittens in care. We thought we were full enough and then came along a very sick litter of three little kittens who have cat flu

Clover, a little girl who is defying the odds

This is the story of Clover, a little girl who is defying the odds. When Clover was brought in to a vet in the western Suburbs of Sydney she was stuck fast in a rat glue trap. These horrible traps are used for pest eradication and work when an animal

The love story of Fastfeet and blind Indi

Introducing Harold

UPDATE: February 2017 It is with very great sadness that we must announce that Harold went to rainbow bridge just six weeks shy of a year in care. He went very peacefully in his sleep. He had had a dental and vet check just six weeks before he left us. We are

A perfect companion

When I saw Abbey on the CatRescue website I knew she was THE cat. From the moment she came home with us she just made our home a better place. She brings out the best in all of us with her gentle ways and quiet companionship. We are all smitten with her and everyone wants her on their lap. My daughter Oonagh takes her to bed with her, where Abbey waits until she falls asleep, before coming downstairs for cuddles with me. She’s a gem and I couldn't imagine life without her.
