CatRescue 901 rehoming catsWe are thrilled to announce that we are now rehoming kittens through Oliver Barkley at Lane Cove and these PETstock storesArtarmon, Belrose, Dural, Marsden Park. We are also back up rescue group to PETstock at Broadway and Zetland.

Two weeks ago we had cats and kittens in six pet stores which is an amazing effort for a small rescue group.

What does this mean for the cats?

It is wonderful! We really are able to rehome a lot more cats and kittens this way, but… it is also a lot more work.

Most of the kittens and cats we rehome through pet shops have come from the street. This arrangement gives them a far better life and means there are fewer strays on the streets.

How can you help us help the cats?

Transport  We really need more transport help. Even just once a month would help.

Foster Care  We could use more foster carers even for short stints of two to four weeks while kittens are waiting for a space at a pet store.

Financial  Of course we really need to increase our monthly income in order to fund this. Whilst it’s amazing we are rehoming so many more, the bottom line is we are losing more money as it’s rare that the adoption fee goes near covering the costs. We have to feed, flea and worm treat the cats and of course they are always microchipped, desexed and vaccinated. Often there are also a number of vet visits.

In order to help us fund this, we are looking for more monthly donators or weekly donators: even just $10 on a regular basis will help us help a lot more cats and kittens.
